Finally, we have fireworks!
On November 17, 2012, our doe Onyx was in a full standing heat, even barking through the gate to the boys Good grief.. LOL. So, we decided to let her have a little rendezvous with our chocolate junior buck (Archar). After a little bit of her challenging him to some good rough battles, testing his strength & determination, she finally let him cover her. We helped him a couple times by moving her downhill so he could reach, but after at least 5 coverings that appeared to be successful, they had had enough of each other.
As of today, Onyx has not come back into heat, and she appears to be smoothing out in all the right places.
If everything continues to go well, she should be kidding in mid April Both she and Archar come from litters of triplets, so we are hopeful that she will be carrying at least twins.
