Leash breeding vs Pen breeding
I have several bucks now since Queen Mum has moved in with me and I bought back my ND. Bambi and Caramel and Apache were all bred by pen breeding.
Brownie my boer was bred by being leashed and held still with one buck. I like this way but I can see some down falls with it also.
1. You have to know the difference between heat and standing heat and when the best time to breed the doe.
2. You have to be available to be there.
What do you think and how do you let your bucks breed your does.
Brownie is due July 2nd

Re: Leash breeding vs Pen breeding
I pen breed just because it works better for our situation. But I have on occasion hand bred to select does. But even with pen breeding I watch to make sure the job gets done. Unless the doe isn't in heat then the doe stays for a month
Congrats on your pregnant doe! Kids are so exciting
